Know Your Definition of Prosperity
If You Want to Attract Wealth

What is the definition of prosperity? That really depends on who you ask. As a spiritual woman entrepreneur your definition might be totally different from a young woman just starting out in her career, or a stay-at-home mom with young children.

In his book, The Power of Decision, Raymond Charles Barker, defines prosperity as “the ability to do what you want to do at the instant you want to do it.”

I like this definition because it doesn’t just focus on attracting wealth. While having an abundance of money is very important (as far as I am concerned), if that is all you have, then you probably are not living a fully prosperous life. If you are really interested in manifesting prosperity, you need to be clear as to what that means to you.

Why is it so Important to be Clear About Your Definition of Prosperity?

It’s because of the Law of Abundance. This metaphysical law indicates that you can receive as much good as you want, without limitation. But you must be clear about what your definition of prosperity is in the various areas of your life for the law to be able to bring it to you. If you aren’t specific about what you want, then you will almost certainly continue to get more of the level of prosperity that you already have. Faith also plays a part in this. You must believe that you can attract this level of abundance to yourself.

If you are serious about experiencing more abundance, then it’s time to make some decisions. As you read the statements below, I encourage you to grab a pen and paper or your tablet and begin to write down the answers to these questions so you can gain some clarity about what you really want.

What is your definition of prosperity in relation to health?

Do you think about your health, or do you just take what comes along? One of the things I have learned in the last few years is that if you don’t have your health, nothing else in your life really matters. Would you like a body that is strong and functions properly? Do you want a body that allows you to move easily and comfortably so you can do all the things you enjoy doing? Would you like to be able to sleep soundly each night and wake up feeling refreshed and filled with energy? How about a body with all its systems working the way they were designed – in perfect activity, harmony, and balance?

What is your definition of prosperity in relation to success?

What type of career would allow you to freely express your creativity and talents? Would type of work would bring you joy while also allowing you to earn a good income? If you are thinking of starting, or you already have your own business, what type of business is it and how big do you want it to be? Maybe your idea of success is to have a better sense of balance between your career and your family or other things that are important to you.

What is your definition of prosperity in connection with finances?

Many women would love to be wealthy. But have you ever thought about what manifesting wealth really means? Would you be happy with an income of $100,000 per year or do you really want to earn $250,000 or more to feel comfortable? How about your financial investments? Do you always want to work for money, or would you like to receive passive income without working for it? What level of wealth would allow you to relax and feel a sense of freedom?

What is your definition of prosperity in relation to relationships?

You may have health, money, and success, but if you don’t have people to share it with, you will never be happy. Would you like to have people in your life that you can share activities with? Do you want to be surrounded by people you love and who love you? Would you like to be around supportive, positive people who you know you can trust to always be there for you? How about having a special someone to share your life with?

What is your definition of prosperity in connection with your Higher Self?

You are not just a flesh and blood woman. You are also a spiritual being. What kind of relationship with your Higher Self would add richness to your life? Do you want to be able to tap into your Divine Wisdom to help you make decisions and add creativity to your life? Would you like to be able to trust the Divine and know that no matter what is happening, you always have the support of your Higher Self? Would you like to feel that you are totally loved no matter what you do or don’t do?

Increase Your Prosperity Consciousness

When you understand where your prosperity consciousness is now, you will probably want to work on enlarging it. If you want more abundance to flow into your life, you need to grow your prosperity consciousness. There are many ways you can do this. They include:

Taking a course on abundance
Saying a daily affirmation about attracting wealth

Creating a financial intention for a specific amount of money
Reading prosperity or abundance quotes on a regular basis
Creating treasure maps for prosperity
Dedicating regular time to meditation and inspirational reading

Prosperity Is . . .

So, what is the definition of prosperity? It doesn’t really matter what I or anyone else thinks. It is up to you to decide what it is. Once you have decided, then begin to take the actions and create the mindset that will allow it to flow into your life easily and joyfully. Who knows? Maybe one day you too will have “the ability to do what you want to do at the instant you want to do it.”
