The Universal Law of Attraction says that whatever you think about, you bring about. It is one of life’s most powerful metaphysical laws. As a female entrepreneur, you want to understand how this works because it can help you manifest your dreams.
If you want to know what you are really thinking, just look around you. Whatever you are experiencing in your life right now reflects what is in your consciousness.
Your life reflects your thoughts. It is a mirror of your beliefs.
If you put something in front of a mirror and you don’t like the reflection, you wouldn’t try to change it by playing around with the mirror. That would be useless because that isn’t the way life works. If you want to change the reflection in the mirror, you need to change what you put in front of it.
The Universal Law of Attraction works the same way. If you want to change your experiences, you need to change what you are putting in front of your mirror.
You are probably unaware of many of your thoughts and beliefs. If you’re like many of the female entrepreneurs I work with, some of your beliefs may be limiting and negative and lie deep down in your subconscious. How do you know what these limiting beliefs are? Again, it’s easy. Just look at what is going on in your life. Nothing comes to you by accident.
Your mind is truly a magnet for your experiences. If you want to change your experiences, you need to change your thoughts and keep them changed.
The Universal Law of Attraction doesn’t judge whether your thoughts are positive or negative. It just brings you experiences that match your regular pattern of thinking.
You may like this idea, or you might not, but it is an infallible universal law. If you are enjoying prosperity, wonderful relationships, health, a successful business, peace, and harmony, then you are probably thrilled to know that it isn’t an accident. You have played a major role in having those good things show up in your life by thinking positive thoughts. The Universal Law of Attraction brought those wonderful experiences to you because they were in alignment with your predominant way of thinking.
But what about things that aren’t so wonderful? How about that challenging relationship, or maybe the struggle with your finances? What about those aches and pains or the fact that your business isn’t doing as well as you would like? Have you contributed to that too? In a word, yes.
As much as you might not like to acknowledge it, everything that shows up in your life—good and bad—is there because you have somehow attracted it to you. I don’t like to acknowledge this when challenging things show up in my life either. But the Universal Law of Attraction is going to bring it into our lives whether we want to acknowledge it or not.
A while ago, I fractured my toe while I was doing yoga. Was that some freak accident? Some may say yes, but I know that is not the truth. The day before, while I was walking, I envisioned a huge goal in detail. When I say huge, for me, it was massive. It was also scary. I set the intention to bring it into my experience by living it in my mind as if it were already a reality.
The next morning, not more than 14 hours after I had set the intention for this huge goal, my foot got caught on my yoga mat and I fractured my toe. Many metaphysicians believe that problems with your feet represent an unconscious fear of moving forward.
I would much prefer to think that this was an accident, but I know better. It represented my fear of moving forward with such a big idea. The Universal Law of Attraction brought this “accident” into my experience because the fear was lurking in the recesses of my subconscious. When it appeared in my life, it allowed me to work on changing my thinking.
So how do you work with the Universal Law of Attraction to bring more good things into your life?
The most important thing you can do is to discipline your thinking.
Begin to focus on the good things that you would like to experience. Train your brain to think positive thoughts. Can this be challenging? Yes. Is it possible for you to do this? That answer is also yes.
The most important thing you can do is to discipline your thinking.
If you want to attract something better into your experience, you need to start thinking about it and mentally embodying it. If you want to achieve success in your business, you need to maintain an attitude of success. Fill your mind with thoughts of success and prosperity. Expect that you will be successful. Create a mental picture of success. See yourself serving greater numbers of clients and customers who are delighted with your business.
When you continually fill your mind with thoughts of success, the Universal Law of Attraction will draw
greater success and abundance into your business and life.
Ernest Holmes, the founder of the Science of Mind describes how the Universal Law of Attraction works in this simple statement.
“… the [woman] who sees what [she] wants to see, regardless of what appears, will someday experience in the outer what [she] has so faithfully seen in the within.”
If you’ve been focusing your thinking on success, abundance, and prosperity and your circumstances haven’t changed yet, don’t worry about it. There is often a time lag between when you mentally accept an idea and when you see the results in your life. When you find that your thoughts are straying into negative territory, tell yourself, “STOP IT!” Then concentrate on what you would like to experience instead.
Don’t give up. Be persistent. Continue to feed your mind with successful thoughts, and success will eventually follow.
The Universal Law of Attraction always works. It gets easier to use over time. Learn how to use it and let it work for you to make your dreams come true.
